Place: Modern Tea (This place has been closed :( )
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hayes St & Laguna St)
When to eat: Weekend brunch
What to eat and drink: By all means, this place serves various of tea from tea lover countries like Japan, China and India. Tea can be served from a big hot water for yourself to enjoy refill to a small tea cup to a nice individual cute pot with matching white tea cup. They serve weekend brunch until 2 o’clock afternoon for weekends but you can also enjoy afternoon snacks with your appetite for late weekend starters. Baking from oven dish goes with what you drink for sure.
Insight: Love the bright atmosphere and outdoor picnic bench and table arrangement (but inside). Unique glass arts hanging inside and on windows. It is open kitchen but you don’t smell any burning.

Place:Bean Bag Coffee House
Location: San Francisco, CA (601 Divisadero St; Divisadero & Hayes St.)
When to eat: Breakfast and lunch
What to eat and drink: Anything you want for breakfast to lunch, like omelet, sandwich, crapes and burger. Fresh squeezed orange juice is really good. The price is very reasonable but only ca$h is taken. There is an ATM machine inside the Bean but it doesn’t seem to have $$$ most of times.
Insight: Sit on the bar table to view cars & people on Divisadero in the morning or lunch time. Feeling the sun on the face is pretty good.

Place: Cafe Abir
Location: San Francisco, CA (1300 Fulton St; Divisadero & Fulton St.)
When to eat: Lunch and late night coffee
What to eat and drink: Since a renovation has been done in summer ‘07, the menu has been changed. They no longer have the causal sandwich I used to like. They still serve the sandwich but kind of going to 1/2 gourmet one. Speaking gourmet dishes, the start serving the dinner dishes like Rotisserie chicken.
Insight: A majority of the cafe goers is on the internet. I kind of miss the old Cafe Abir atmosphere (but I don’t recall it much :( ). It opens very late until 12:30 am daily. If you want to have some late night coffee or desert after having sushi at Tsunami (next door), it is very convenient to drop by.
